Myanmar Customs Department (MCD) as a lead agency has been planning to implement the Myanmar National Single Window (MNSW) to facilitate international trade and boost economic growth. At this stage, MCD has already developed and launched the initial National Single Window – Routing Platform (NSW-RP) to operate the exchange of the electronic trade-related documents between Myanmar and ASEAN member states (AMS). NSW-RP is securely connected and integrated with the ASEAN Single Window (ASW) - the regional initiative that aims to speed up cargo clearance and promote regional economic integration by enabling electronic exchange of border documents among the ASEAN’s 10 Member States - to process the electronic Exchange of Preferential Certificates of Origin among ASEAN members (bilateral). Myanmar has joined the live operations of the ASEAN Single Window (ASW) since December 2019.
In order to provide and deliver better services, MCD has developed a web-based platform for traders (import & export) to effortlessly track and trace the status of the e-Form D. The MCD-Tracking platform offers the progress and latest e-Form D information, in real-time – available 24/7 and accessible from anywhere.
